Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Air and Marine Operations, El Paso Air Branch located in El Paso, TX.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Serving as Mission Support SME for budget, HR, facilities, property/fleet, and travel, defining annual work plans, deliverables, and timelines to meet CBP and federal policy requirements.
Managing multiple mission support projects, building task lists with milestones, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress against weekly and monthly schedules.
Applying mission support and human capital laws and policies by reviewing actions and documentation for accuracy, funding limits, and required processing timeframes.
Advising supervisors and program managers on organizational design and staffing plans, preparing options with defined resource levels, costs, and implementation timelines for decision.
Leveraging advanced mission support systems (such as Microsoft Office, Concur (CGE), govTA, USDA, USA Staffing, EL-360, CPRO, SAP, BW, webOPUS, and eComp) to develop recurring reports and dashboards and maintain data integrity through scheduled reconciliations and quality checks.

Join Air and Marine Operations and utilize your skills in a variety of mission support functions, advising and managing tasks including, budget, security, property, payroll and purchasing.
This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
Typical duties include: Supervising a team responsible for administrative functions at the branch and marine units to include budget, human resources, facilities, property/fleet management, travel, and other areas pertaining to Mission Support.
Contributing to short and long-term planning through in-depth research and analysis regarding staffing levels and spending plans.
Advising management on administrative programs, systems, and methods and identifying improvements for effectiveness and efficiency.
Serving as a Human Capital Liaison, advising injured employees on worker compensation rights and union bargaining contracts.
