Conditions of Employment Continued: Position is designated Special-Sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Tier 5 investigation.
A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. This position is emergency essential.
In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency-Essential duties until relieved by proper authority.
The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during national emergencies.

This meets the criteria of an Emergency-Essential position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status.

LAUTENBERG AMENDMENT: This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenburg Amendment) of 1968.
An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
"This is a Supervisory Position." A 1-year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-14, or equivalent in other pay systems.
Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of the directives, policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to manpower, personnel, financial and mission support.
Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of DoW, Combatant Command, and Joint organizations to provide command level staff guidance and/or resource development, management and integration to support United States Central Command.
Knowledge of OSD and JS Global Force Management policy, directives, regulations, and business rules and their respective, functional interrelationships to develop and implement HQ CENTCOM AOR-wide policies, programs, procedures and strategies for force requirements capability employment.
Knowledge of the process for Requests for Forces (RFFs) outside the rotational timeline in order to meet contingency and emergency operations and knowledge of analysis principles, practices, and techniques required to perform studies, and develop plans and recommendations to improve concepts, resolve problems, and gain effectiveness and efficiency in executing immediate, short-, and long-range programs.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.
One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Ability to prepare and deliver presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and consultations and lead others in studies or projects; and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

Primary purpose of this position is: The Forces Division Chief serves as the senior leader within the USCENTCOM Operations Directorate (CCJ3) responsible for overseeing Force Management, Force Deployments, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Coalition Force Generation and Readiness Reporting activities to support operational and strategic objectives across the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
This position provides executive-level assessments, strategic planning, and supervisory oversight to ensure effective force flow, global force management, integration, coalition force generation, and defense readiness reporting.
Duties: Leadership, Supervision, Personnel Management and Compliance: Lead and supervise the personnel of the Forces Division to meet command deployment and redeployment objectives, providing opportunities for individual development and growth.
Global Force Management (GFM) Integration and Defense Readiness Reporting: Oversee GFM activities focused on integrating forces for named operations and other critical contingency operations within the USCENTCOM AOR.
Force Flow and Deployment Management: Provide executive-level Force Flow assessments to the Director of Operations and CCJ3 Commanding General.
Coalition Force Generation (CFG) Oversight: Oversee execution of CFG activities to integrate US and Coalition Force Generation efforts.
