Full Job Description

This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The incumbent serves as a supervisor and is the Deputy for a Training and Exercises (TR/EX) branch within the Warfighter Integration Director and will be responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing training, wargames, and exercises related to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission.

You may qualify at the NH-04 Broadband Level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below and must meet 3 of the 5 specialized experience listed below to be qualified: Communicating complex, operational-level and strategic missile defense equities to Flag/General Officers and Senior Executive Service leaders.

Experience in serving/working on the Joint Staff and/or on a Combatant Command Staff.

Experience in utilizing the joint Operational Planning Process to plan real-world Integrated Air and Missile Defense operations in a Joint/Combined operational environment.

Experience in Missile Defense Command and Control simulations, exercises and war games. Producing and coordinating operational and technical reports that are thorough and accurate.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

As a Supervisory Management Analyst at the NH-0343-4 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Use Joint Operational Planning Process to plan real-world Integrated Air and Missile Defense operations in a Joint and/or Combined operational environment.

Plan real-world military operations in support of Combatant Command Operational Plans (OPLANS).

Communicate and implement innovative approaches to resolve difficult missile defense issues significantly impacting policy or programs.

Formulate organizational strategies and optimize (funding) resources to attain goals while adhering to budget controls and establish a Program of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) to ensure mission accomplishment.

Plan, integrate, and implement solutions to highly complex missile defense training and exercise related activities in support of Combatant Commands (CCMDs).

Support CCMD training exercises using MDA-developed models, simulations and lessons learned process.

Foster teamwork ensuring effective communication with leadership and stakeholders in an environment comprised of Military, Civilian and Contractor workforce.
