Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage supplies and logistics for Navy ships, ensuring everything from ordering parts to tracking inventory runs smoothly during operations and port visits.
It focuses on supporting ships like the Littoral Combat Ship with materials and financial oversight.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on Navy experience in shipboard supply roles, strong leadership skills, and a knack for problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Requires knowledge of afloat duties with requirement for communication with ships and major staffs. Experience as a lead supervisor in U. S.
Navy afloat general stores and material control operations.
Evidence of thorough knowledge of Depot Level Repairable / consumable parts / hazardous material ordering, receipt, issue, and inventory processes.
Experience managing stock control or afloat supply department with a Coordinated Shipboard Allowance (COSAL) or Aviation Consolidated Allowance List (AVCAL).
Familiarity with Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF), Department of Defense Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements of NWCF inventory plants and managing ship's Budget Operating Target (OPTAR) and all financial transmittals.
Demonstrated understanding and familiarity with ship port visit logistics requirements (LOGREQs) and sourcing.
Experience leading diverse teams of military, civilian and contractor personnel in operational environments.
