Job Description

Summary

Full Job Description

This position is in Region 5, Land, Chemicals and Redevelopment Division, Land and Chemicals Branch. About: Region 5.

This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements, including any requirements described in the Education section, by the closing date of this announcement.

In addition to the basic entry education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise of limited scope in environmental compliance; providing oversight of organizing, appraising, coaching, mentoring or leading others.

You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit to develop goals and objectives that integrate organization and program objectives for promoting effective operation of the organization.

Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to oversee work, ensure reasonable equity among units of performance standards, and resolve group grievances and employee complaints for promoting an environment for effective mission accomplishment.

Represent the organizational unit and Agency to explain policy and procedures, resolve significant problems, and determine appropriate actions of impact for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships.
