Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of IT experts in a Navy command focused on oceanography and meteorology, where you'll manage budgets, develop policies, and ensure cybersecurity for critical programs.
You'll supervise staff, coordinate with other departments, and interpret government rules to create standards for IT systems.
It's a great fit for experienced IT leaders with a background in defense or science-related tech who enjoy strategic planning and team management.
You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN/INFOSEC) in the NAVAL METEOROLOGY AND OCEANOGRAPHY COMMAND, INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT of COMNAVMETOCCOM.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of PPBE cycle to include linking IT requirements. Ability to prioritize, develop and implement budget, spend plans, execution plans.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing; Knowledge of the practices and principles of Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and computer science relevant to improving NAVY programs (e.g., oceanography, meteorology, hydrography, and precise time and astrometry).
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
