Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of IT professionals to plan, manage, and execute technology projects for the Navy, focusing on security, system setup, and ensuring everything runs smoothly to support military operations.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-12 level or equivalent in federal, private, or public sector
  • Providing technical guidance on IT security issues and coordinating IT projects
  • Modifying and adapting existing system approaches for new project requirements
  • Knowledge of Information Management (IM)/IT and database principles for service delivery and information security
  • Analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise networks and systems
  • Supervisory skills including planning, distributing, monitoring work assignments, evaluating performance, and staff development
  • Experience executing IT projects from initiation to sustainment to meet business missions

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • You will provide functional and/or technical support to customers to ensure validation of requirements and delivery of Information Technology capabilities.
  • You will ensure hardware meets system requirements in order to provide information technology capabilities.
  • You will execute an information technology project from initiation to sustainment to fulfill established requirements that meet specified business missions.
