This job involves leading a team of IT professionals at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to develop and manage cloud-based systems that help detect and prevent financial crimes like money laundering and terrorist financing.
You'll oversee major IT projects, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure strong cybersecurity while planning budgets and policies.

At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime.
Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.

One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes: - Experience in a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the work of a subordinate staff of employees engaged in the execution of IT related activities and/or projects; AND - Designing, building, and testing cloud-based applications and administering cloud-based systems, including large data sets and analytic solutions; AND - Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical strategies, managing full lifecycle delivery from requirements analysis through deployment AND -Identifying and resolving actual or potential cyber-security problems.
In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
