As a SUPERVISORY IMMIGRATION OFFICER, you will supervise teams conducting national security investigations, coordinate with federal and intelligence partners, apply immigration laws to enhance security programs, and provide guidance to law enforcement and management on national security cases.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/05/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/05/2026.

GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Supervising or leading teams conducting large-scale or multi-jurisdictional national security investigations, including reviewing case files, or researching legal admissibility; Coordinating with the Intelligence Community, federal law enforcement, and other government agencies to facilitate information sharing, or support joint investigations and operations; Utilizing immigration laws, regulations, or procedures, to improve national security, intelligence, or antifraud programs; And Provide technical advice, recommendations, or guidance to law enforcement partners or senior management on critical cases and operations.

  • Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate and is assigned based on the need of the agency.
  • Oversee and coordinate section operations, including activities that impact national security, public safety, and the integrity of the legal immigration system;
  • Review and analyze sensitive and classified information to identify potential threats, fraud, and vulnerabilities in immigration processes;
  • Serve as a primary liaison between USCIS, the Intelligence Community, federal law enforcement, and other government agencies to advance national and departmental priorities;
  • Respond to complex inquiries, utilizing expertise in immigration adjudication and experience with classified and unclassified databases; and
  • Evaluate staff performance, resolve personnel issues, and support employee development and training.
