Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (MIL) of NAVY RECRUITING DISTRICT OHIO COLUMBUS MEPS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising or leading personnel in a high-volume, deadline-driven processing environment to include: assigning work, monitoring performance, and enforcing processes and standards; 2) Managing the end-to-end processing workflow for personnel records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance; 3) Applying and interpreting personnel and recruitment policies, instructions, and regulations to resolve unusual or complex processing issues; 3) Conducting formal quality checks on personnel records to identify and correct deficiencies or trends to improve process quality.

  • You will compile statistical data for management briefings to senior management regarding the processing of enlisted applicants.
  • You will assign work, set priorities, relay plans, and evaluate the work performance of subordinates.
  • You will assist and advise management on civilian personnel practices and programs, as well as track and review data for the distribution of the workload among military and civilian personnel.
  • You will prepare reports and/or briefings to inform management of analysis results for use in the decision-making process or to determine the status of in-progress status information.
