This job involves leading a team to manage all aspects of human resources for the EPA's Region 9 office in San Francisco, including hiring, employee relations, performance reviews, and training programs.
You'll advise top managers on HR issues and ensure the team supports the agency's mission to protect the environment.
It's ideal for an experienced HR leader with strong management skills who wants to contribute to public service in a government setting.
This position is in Office of the Regional Administrator, Region 9, Mission Support Division, Human Resources Branch.
About Region 9: Region 9 This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management to include employee and labor relations, recruitment and staffing, performance management, and training and employee development; and experience leading people to accomplish organizational goals and objectives.

You will: Plan, direct and implement the Region's Human Capital programs. Serve as advisor to regional management on a broad spectrum of human capital matters.
Supervise and lead the regional human capital staff. Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers and business partners.
