About the position: This position is located at the NAF Accounting Office, Spangdahlem AB, Germany and will be responsible for supervising the daily operations for the NAF accounting office, central cashier and VAT office.

Qualifying Experience: Must have prior accounting experience as well as experience in a NAF accounting setting. Must have supervisory or lead experience.

Ability to present financial data in written reports, statements and platform briefing.

Skill in analyzing Non appropriated financial relationships and developing recommendations for accounting actions.

Ability to effectively and thoroughly apply research and problem-solving techniques for reconciling numerous complex supporting ledger and financial reports. Major Duties:

The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the daily operations for the NAF Accounting Office, Central Cashier and VAT office.

Duties include: Provides financial management, banking and full-service accounting for all NAF activities to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal controls, payroll and general ledger accounting.

Analyzes NAF financial statements.

Ensures distribution of reports to installation level activities Works with managers to apply accounting concepts when offering financial guidance to resolve discrepancies.

Works with Shared Services Center to correct processing errors. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives and organization design.

Researches and determines appropriate recommendations for issues and documents the follow-up. Participates in special projects, initiatives and assignments including audits.

Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with FSS leadership, activity managers and personnel within accounting functions.

Performs a range of supervisory responsibilities such as promoting team building, plans, schedules and distributes work that promotes a smooth flow and effective use of resources, selects candidates for subordinate positions, performance appraisals, etc.

Hears and resolves grievances and employee complaints Performs other related duties as assigned.
