  • Executing Security Cooperation (SC) programs using the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) platform
  • Applying analytical and decision support skills for DoD appropriated resources

Full Job Description

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for examination and oversight of financial management procedures and processes.

You may qualify at the GS-GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Providing financial management over individual foreign country foreign military sales programs Providing advisory and guidance at the highest level on all financial aspects of FMS programs Serving as the United States Government Co-Chair on Financial Management Reviews with international partners Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • As a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0501-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: Managing resource allocations by prioritizing funding requirements Detailed experience executing SC programs via the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) platform Exercising analytical and decision support skills for select DoD appropriated resources to support the Security Cooperation mission
