Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst within NAVAL HISTORY AND HERITAGE COMMAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Conduct evaluations of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc.

and recommending alternatives for corrective action; 2) Utilize financial systems or related databases to extract, interpret, and analyze financial reports and statistical data for the organization; 3) Interpret, assess and project potential impact of new/revised congressional legislation; 4) Provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; 5) Develop, determine and/or interpret budgetary policies and practices; 6) Monitor program budget to ensure availability/sufficiency of funds; 7) Provide leadership in accounting, budget and financial functions.

  • You will promulgate approved financial management policies within the organization based on DON policy and develops and issues implementing procedures.
  • You will conduct management evaluation of issues of financial consequence raised in audit reports, budget reviews, etc. and recommend alternatives for corrective action.
