Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team in managing finances for a shipbuilding organization, including creating budgets, tracking spending, and ensuring funds are used efficiently while following rules and regulations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the TOB DIVISION of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing financial management analysis (e.g., budget planning, analyzing manpower levels and funding, or monitoring obligations and expenditures) for an organization.

  • You will perform formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
  • You will review and evaluate budget requests; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures as well as work that may include development, determination, and interpretation of budgetary policies and practices.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
  • You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets as well as the implementation of internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds.
  • You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities that may also be performed depending on the needs of the organization.
  • You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work.
  • You will develop performance standards and evaluate employee performance; provide technical and administrative oversight, advice, and instruction; interview candidates and recommend hiring, promotions, etc.
