About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Psychologist (Clinical) for the Early Development and Intervention Services for a medical treatment facility/clinic.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Clinical Psychologist: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.

or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

Licensure/Certification: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice Psychology independently, from a U.S.

State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.

Specialized Experience: one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service, providing a full spectrum of child and adult psychological, diagnostic, and therapeutic services; implementing and overseeing the application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological and neuropsychological disorders Major Duties:

  • Provides individual and group therapy, behavior modification paradigms, and biofeedback procedures in treating psychological disorders
  • Provides clinical psychology evaluation and treatment services to children/students in the Department of Defense Dependent Schools
  • Performs individual, clinical assessments including behavioral observation, clinical interviews, and administration and interpretation of psychological and educational tests to determine eligibility for special education.
  • Teaches and provides technical assistance to teachers, school psychologist, behavior management specialists, and parents in carrying out programs.
  • Maintains required professional and administrative records in accordance with the Department of the Navy, U.S. Naval Hospital locations, and The Joint Commission regulations/instructions, policies, and guidelines.
  • Directly supervises a staff of US Civil Service employees, contract employees, and local nationals.
