Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team to manage budgets for military health facilities, including gathering data, creating budget plans, and ensuring everything follows rules.

It's a supervisory role where you'll guide staff, coordinate with leaders, and track how money is spent.

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, Richland, South Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing status reports, utilizing automated systems, and applying budget-related laws and/or regulations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Major Duties:

  • Direct employees engaged in tasks oriented to obtaining the data necessary to accomplish budgetary programming, formulation and execution.
  • Prepare instructions and guidelines for input to the budget.
  • Coordinate with program directors, service/department/division chiefs and Resource Management personnel to assure understanding of the scope and nature of input required.
  • Evaluate the outcome of key transactions and monitors resource execution rates.
