Job Description

Summary

This job involves leading a team of scientists, engineers, and IT experts in the Navy's information warfare systems command, focusing on overseeing technical projects, managing personnel, and ensuring the development and integration of command and control systems.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in personnel management, including hiring, promotions, awards, and employee performance assessments

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the DEVSECOPS ARCH (CODE 53231) of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specilaized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band NM-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical and project management oversight, demonstrating skill in executing systems engineering tasks for Command and Control (C2) systems; applying knowledge of IT systems processes; and knowledge of personnel management processes (i.e.

hiring, promotions, awards, etc.) and assessing employees' performance.

  • You will supervise a complex team of scientists, engineers, IT specialists, and administrative specialists on various Center projects.
  • You will be division leadership, primary responsibilities include providing technical, project management, and contract oversight of branch projects.
  • You will advise, administer, or perform professional engineering work to include but not limited to design, development, analysis of computer hardware, systems, software and computer architecture, system integration, electronic engineering etc.
  • You will perform research or other professional and scientific work in the investigation and application of the relations between a wide variety of health, physical, geophysical, hydrology, chemistry, metallurgy, space, meteorology, geology etc.
  • You will administer, or perform professional scientific work of a mathematical, statistical, or actuarial nature.
  • You will design, development, implementation and sustainment of integrated computer systems using knowledge of (1) computer software concepts such as data representation, data structures, files systems, operating systems, computer languages etc.
