This job involves managing supplies, materials, and state-issued items at a maximum-security prison in Michigan, including ordering, organizing, laundering, repairing, and distributing them while ensuring everything is properly labeled and available.

This position serves the Ionia Correctional Facility as the central caustic manager, ordering, maintains supplies, materials, and ensures the proper labels and quantities are available and in use for the facility.
Maintains, organizes, launders, repairs and distributes state issued items according to department standards. This position supervises prisoners while performing individual tasks.

New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification.
All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
