This job involves managing a storeroom for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, where you'll handle receiving, storing, distributing, and ordering supplies to keep equipment and facilities ready for all weather conditions.
It's a hands-on role focused on keeping inventory accurate and organized while preparing monthly reports and maintaining records.

As a Stock Clerk 2, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, ordering, inventory, and record keeping of all stocked items, in accordance with department policy.
You will conduct random spot checks on inventory, complete monthly inventory reports, and submit orders for items in need of restocking.
In addition, you will maintain various contract files and update files with new contracts as necessary.
You will also be tasked with maintaining a neat and orderly storeroom by efficiently utilizing all available space.
It is essential to ensure that all items on inventory are labeled clearly, include the correct description, and list an accurate commodity code.
