Job Description

Summary

This job involves maintaining the facilities, grounds, and equipment at the International Bridge in Michigan, including road repairs and helping with escort duties for bridge services.

It's a part-time, non-career role limited to about 129 hours per month.

A good fit would be someone reliable with basic maintenance skills, who can drive and cross the U.S.-Canada border without issues.

  • Available for limited hours: max 129 hours per month and 1,039 hours per appointment

THIS IS A NON-CAREER APPOINTMENT THAT IS LIMITED TO 129 HOURS PER MONTH AND 1,039 HOURS PER APPOINTMENT

MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY ALL BORDER CROSSING REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH U.S. CUSTOMS AND CANADIAN BORDER SERVICES AGENCY

The general function of this position is to maintain the International Bridge properties, facilities, and equipment in a condition of proper repair.

This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license to perform road, grounds, and equipment maintenance as well as assisting bridge services with escorting duties.

To be considered for this position you must:

  • Possess a valid driver's license.

  • Be able to satisfy all border crossing requirements for both U.S. Customs and Canada Border Services Agency.
