The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About this position:This position will function as the administrative manager of the Supplier Relations Section. The Supplier Relations Section provides supplier relationship management, acts as a one-stop point of contact for current and potential suppliers, develops and issues supplier scorecards, plans and conducts supplier outreach events and supplier summits, responds to supplier protests, facilitates strategic supplier meetings, helps facilitate the resolution of supplier performance issues, performs supplier risk reviews, maintains supplier emergency management information and administers and reviews compliance of delegated authority requests. This first-line manager position is responsible for providing direction and control of functions and activities in the work area including establishing priorities, allocating staff
employee evaluation, counseling, selection, provision of technical and policy guidance and training of employees.

Position Location:
This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. In accordance with federal law, all new employees must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States within three business days of beginning employment. Requirements
EducationPossession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
ExperienceFour years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Qualifications
Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
