MONDAY – FRIDAY; 8 AM – 4 PM* *Subject to changeDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides an array of psychological counseling services to law enforcement personnel and families and conducts psychological evaluations of applicants for classified positions.
RESPONSIBILITES:
• Conducts psychological evaluations of recruits and applicants for specialized divisions.
• Provides academy in-service training.
• Responds to law enforcement personnel emergencies.
• Conducts specialized classes such as cadet training.
• Assists other divisions on special investigations.
• Assists Director in providing management assistance throughout the Police Department.
• All duties and responsibilities may not be included in the above job descriptions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions

Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field with appropriate internship.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Two years of professional experience in clinical and/or research psychology is required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTSMust be licensed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
Qualifications
Experience analyzing police datasets such as incidents, calls for service, arrests and citations.
Proficiency with dashboard design using Business Intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS Insights.
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with ESRI’s ArcGIS Pro.
Experience with ISO 9001-2015, Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement programs.
Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Experience developing paginated reports using SSRS, Power BI Report Builder, Crystal Reports or similar tool.
