Requirements

As a Staff Physician, Intellectual Disabilities, you will serve as an integral member of a team responsible for providing comprehensive medical care and treatment to residents of Selinsgrove Center.

You will perform annual physical examinations, order lab work, monitor chronic illnesses, conduct daily rounds, and observe individuals during their activities.

You will also conduct daily dispensary for individuals requiring care, write orders, and submit progress notes.

This role requires a genuine desire to provide essential medical services that will have a lasting, positive impact on our residents.

In addition, you will serve on committees, prepare cases for Peer Review, and complete on-call duties as scheduled.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have on-call hours for weekends and evening rotations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of post-residency experience in the practice of medicine, including one year which involved a direct primary care caseload.


Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of an active license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine or Pennsylvania State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • You must obtain an active registration to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as a condition of hire.
