The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is seeking an experienced, self-motivated Staff Physician 2 to join our primary care team.

In this position, you will serve as the Facility Medical Director, overseeing medical care and other designated services within the facility.
You will coordinate medical care delivery and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care policies and procedures that align with current standards of practice.
All duties will be carried out in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations, using evidence-based approaches and practices recognized by professional organizations and accrediting bodies.
You will act as the attending physician for residents, holding primary responsibility for their medical care.
This includes diagnosing conditions, prescribing treatments, and developing care plans aimed at maintaining and improving residents’ physical and mental health.
In addition, you will supervise the certified registered nurse practitioner’s staff.
Your supervisory responsibilities will include planning and assigning work, setting priorities, participating in hiring decisions, evaluating performance, approving leave, initiating disciplinary actions, identifying training needs, and providing coaching and guidance.
