The new Michigan Youth Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team, providing vital academic assessment and educational services to youth within a juvenile justice setting.

This role is more than teaching—it’s about shaping futures.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff to assess individual needs, support group development, and help implement personalized strategies that guide each young person toward a more positive, constructive lifestyle.

In addition to academic instruction, this position involves facilitating and supervising youth activities both in and outside the classroom, contributing to a structured, supportive environment that fosters growth and change.

    This position is located at the Michigan Youth Treatment Center (MYTC), 400 N. Rose Street, Mt. Clemens, MI. and the selected incumbent will be required to physically report to this office. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
