The FBI's Advanced Special Agent Training (ASAT) recognizes the depth of your federal experience and accelerates your progression with a 9-week (condensed from 18-weeks), fast-tracked program while maintaining the rigor, discipline, and standards the FBI is known for.

SPECIAL AGENT APPLICATION PROCESS The application process includes the following steps, each of which must be successfully completed.

Applicants who meet the initial screening criteria will receive an email invitation to take the Phase I exam.

Step 1: Application and Screening Step 2: Phase I Test Step 3: Virtual Information Session Step 4: Phase II Test Step 5: Conditional Appointment Offer Step 6: Background Investigation Step 7: Fit for Duty Medical Review Step 8: Firearms Qualification Step 9: Pre-Quantico Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Step 10: Advanced Special Agent Training Course Finish: Career Placement Major Duties:

Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws. Exercise judgement, resourcefulness, and versatility in meeting investigative demands.

Create and maintain effective liaison relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and international law enforcement agencies.

Coordinate and/or participate in searches, seizures, and arrests. Carry a firearm and be willing to use force, to include deadly force, if necessary.

Maintain a level of physical fitness to ensure readiness required to perform law enforcement duties. You may also be selected to be a part of the DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force. D.C.
