See below for important information regarding this job. To qualify for a Sourcing Strategy Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Experience in assessing customer challenges, identifying root causes of challenges, and developing tailored logistics strategies that provide outcomes for customers.

- Developing complex briefings and presenting such to Department of Defense (DoD) officials, senior officers and senior civilians.

- Experience with contracting, acquisition, supply chain management and/or logistics management in the aviation industry.

- Assessing and developing long term program management, strategy, and milestones. - Leading a cross functional team.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Serves as a senior analyst/advisor in assessing and developing key strategic sourcing program plans and initiatives.
  • Develops techniques for assessing and evaluating quantified study results.
  • Evaluates analytical assessments pertaining to the effectiveness of current contracting methodologies to establish a baseline for proposing modification or development of new contracting approaches in support of strategic sourcing objectives.
  • Establishes sourcing strategy approaches and works with Acquisition Specialists and others to develop supporting contract arrangements, and provide recommendations to the Integrated Supplier Team (ISTs) for implementation.
  • Represents the agency as a technical expert on sourcing strategies and Key Performance Indicators on committees and task forces to formulate general program guidance.
  • Completes market research to support acquisition strategies to include assessing commercial market capabilities.
  • Leads cross functional teams focused on acquisition strategies.
