Full Job Description
Only applicants who meet the Minimum Qualification Requirements and meet all selective requirements (listed below) will be placed on the eligible list.This position:
Provides education and support to patients regarding their medical conditions and the forensic process.
Conducts restoration sessions/groups with and provides testing for patients in order to prepare them for their competency evaluations
Organizes timeliness of evaluations and coordinates with psychiatrist, psychologist, nurse and others on the multidisciplinary team regards the readiness of the patient for their evaluation.
Manages the waiting list for outpatient evaluations and inpatient evaluations.
Makes internal and external notifications for all evaluations.
Provides programmatic development and support, evaluations and/or intensive casework for patients with challenging, complex and complicated mental health problems while admitted to the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.
Gathers and presents admission information from courts, jails, attorneys, hospitals and families to determine eligibility for patient admissions, then presents findings to the Utilization Review Committee for final approval/denial
Qualified candidates will meet the selective requirements as well as the minimum qualifications (Selective 655)

Requirements
655 Master’s Degree in Social Work- Possession of a Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of three years of full-time experience in a social work capacity in a public or private agency;
OR
graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in social work and the equivalent of two years of full-time experience in a social work capacity in a public or private agency;
OR
a Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university;
OR
an equivalent combination of graduate education in the social or behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university and qualifying experience up to a maximum of thirty semester hours for one year of the required experience;
OR
employees with
current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of one year of full-time experience as a Social Worker 2 shall be considered as qualified.
