As a Social Worker 2 for the Bureau of Blind and Visual Services (BBVS), within the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), you will become an advocate for individuals who are blind, visually impaired and deaf-blind.

This rewarding role allows you to provide a full range of services to children, youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired with a goal of achieving safety and independence within their homes and community.
Work involves a comprehensive interview with applicants, explanation of eligibility requirements and the development and agreement of a Service Plan outlining goals and services.
You will have the opportunity to provide counseling and guidance, refer individuals to other agency appropriate services and maintain detailed record information. Additional duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time at the completion of the training period.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the assigned headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
