This job involves monitoring and supporting ship maintenance projects in Guam, where you'll track work progress, troubleshoot issues with trade workers, and help resolve delays to keep projects on schedule.
It's a hands-on role in a naval shipyard, focusing on coordination rather than direct labor.

You will serve as a SHIP PROGRESSMAN (GENERAL) in the GUAM DETACHMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES, such as coordinating and monitor progress of project and work assignments, provide expertise in trades and craft operations involved in the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification of ships/submarines in one of the following trades: (1) Shipfitter, or (2) Machinist, or (3) Aux Gang, or (4) Electronics, or (5) Piping, or (6) Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, or (7) Insulator, or (8) Production Machinery Mechanic, or (9) Shipwright, or (10) Painter, or (11) Plastic Fab, or (12) Fabric, or (13) Gas Free, or (14) Sheetmetal.
Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations (X-118C).
