Summary
This Sergeant role in a Michigan prison involves leading and guiding correction officers during shifts, helping with housing and counseling tasks, and ensuring everyone stays alert and ready for any issues that come up.

Key Requirements
- Completion of 15 semester (or 23 term) college credits in any field
- Two years of experience as a Corrections Officer, Corrections Transportation Officer, Corrections Medical Aide, or Special Alternative Incarceration Officer
- Ability to direct and instruct Correction Officers in assigned areas
- Assistance to Resident Unit Manager and Prison Counselors in housing duties
- Ensuring officers remain fit for duty, alert, and responsive to situations
- Performing duties assigned by Deputy Warden, Assistant Deputy Wardens, Captains, and Lieutenants
- Adherence to high ethical standards and loyalty to state service
