This job involves leading teams of electricians and operators to build, maintain, and repair the city's electrical power lines and systems, while ensuring everyone works safely and follows rules.
You'll handle scheduling, investigate accidents, and coordinate with other departments to keep the power running smoothly during outages or storms.
It's a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in electrical work who enjoys supervising people and solving real-world problems in a utility setting.
Respond to and investigate outage events, personnel injuries and safety violations within T&D. Coordinate with others to evaluate incident and determine course of action.
Participate as Subject Matter Expert in investigations by assigning investigators, performing Root Cause Analysis, developing Management Recommendations and presenting finding to T&D Staff.
Assure, direct, oversee and assist in the development, implementation and compliances of Federal, State, City, County and departmental policies, regulations, administrative procedures and agreements.
Be mindful of work conditions and processes performed by the work groups in T&D and enforce the policies, regulations, procedures and agreements within those situations to assure the safety of the work crews and general public.
