Base salary range: $147,649 - $221,900

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading inspections and oversight of major highway and bridge construction projects in Pennsylvania to ensure they meet safety and quality standards from start to finish.
The role requires coordinating with various groups like local governments and utility companies to solve problems and keep projects on time and budget.
It's a great fit for experienced civil engineers who enjoy managing complex infrastructure work and have strong organizational skills.
In this position, you will serve as the Inspector-In-Charge for highway construction projects, overseeing the management of intricate and multiple construction initiatives from their inception to completion.
Your role will require you to ensure that these projects are executed in a professional, timely, cost-effective, and safe manner.
You will be responsible for addressing and facilitating the resolution of issues that necessitate coordination with various stakeholders, including municipalities, private property owners, businesses, emergency services, railroads, authorities, utilities, and other concurrent construction projects.
Additionally, you will provide support to the Assistant Construction Engineer and Schedule Reviewer in contract scheduling, helping to resolve any challenges that may affect the construction timeline.
Your participation in constructability reviews and meetings will be essential as required.
Furthermore, you will compile and draft necessary documentation, including work order justifications, technical reports, and correspondence related to construction issues.
You will also prepare and submit work orders and construction estimates, while diligently tracking all material certifications to ensure that the materials used in the project meet the required specifications.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an ad-hoc basis per supervisor's discretion.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters location in Bridgeville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
