Job Description

Summary

This job involves using mapping software to analyze and manage spatial data for the city's public works projects, such as infrastructure maintenance and planning.

The role includes training other staff on these tools, providing support for a specific asset management system called Cartegraph OMS, and creating reports to help with city operations.

It's a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in GIS who enjoys teaching and problem-solving in a team environment.

Key Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four years of experience in spatial data analysis with progression in GIS skills
  • Working knowledge of modern GIS programs
  • ESRI ArcGIS Certification or relevant ESRI training certificates in data editing, workflows, and mapping
  • Ability to teach and train GIS skills to in-house employees
  • Experience providing technical support and quality control for Cartegraph OMS
  • Skills in producing reports, forms, and queries in Cartegraph OMS

Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED.
  • Four (4) years of experience in spatial data analysis that demonstrates skill progression and working knowledge of modern GIS programs.
Licenses or Certifications
  • ESRI ArcGIS Certification or ESRI training certificates covering data editing, essential workflows, and GIS mapping.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teaches/trains GIS skills to in-house employees. Provides technical support and quality control for the users of Cartegraph OMS for Public Works.
  • Assists in administering Cartegraph OMS.
  • Produces reports, forms and queries in Cartegraph OMS for Public Works.
