We are in search of a committed and proactive professional to fill the position of Senior Civil Engineer Supervisor (Transportation) at the Department of Transportation District 12, based in the Washington County Maintenance Office. This essential role is crucial for the efficient management of maintenance operations throughout the county. Requirements

In this vital position, you will assist the County Maintenance Manager and take charge of all maintenance operations within a designated area of Washington County.

You will apply engineering principles and practices to make informed decisions regarding the execution of work assignments.

Additionally, you will leverage your engineering expertise to propose safety enhancements for maintenance projects.

Your role will also involve providing technical leadership and guidance to address complex challenges by conducting independent engineering analyses and calculations to resolve issues related to maintenance projects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
  • Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty; and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; and an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
  • Two years of professional civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.


Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
