Come join our Team! The Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is looking for eager, enthusiastic, career driven individuals to join our dynamic audit team where your skills can be used to assure transparency and accountability in state government.

As a Senior Auditor, you will be part of a team-driven approach that conducts financial and compliance engagements related to state entities or to financial and statistical reports filed by providers of Medicaid services and serves as the primary day-to-day engagement contact. The Senior Auditor is responsible for collaboration with the management team to plan upcoming engagements, as well as lead, manage and perform audits and/or other attestation engagements. The Senior Auditor requires strong communication skills, possess excellent software/computer skills, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills. The Senior Auditor must have the ability to set expectations with staff and provide feedback and guidance when needed. The Senior Auditor will also take responsibility for the coaching and training of new staff. At this level, Senior Auditors will be expected to contribute to the agency by participating in various opportunities that would further the agency’s mission.

OSA is organized into three service delivery divisions: State Agency, Medicaid, and Internal Audit Services, supported by an Administration division.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • CPA license or seeking Certification
  • Coursework completed for eligibility to be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 2+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience
