This National Guard position is a Indefinite GS-0080-09 SECURITY SPECIALIST (TRAINING SPECIALIST) (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D2161000 and is part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing.
This is a bargaining position. SEE NOTES UNDER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT BELOW.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard.
Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - MSgt (E-7) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training that demonstrates your ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations and procedures; possess skill in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; possess the ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective two-way radio or telephone communication; possess the ability to write English in reports and presentation formats; possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing clearly and effectively; possess the ability to assess body language and perceive immediate risk levels; possess skill in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material.
GS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 07 grade level that demonstrates the ability to serve as a subject matter expert in managing a Security Forces program to include Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) deployments, formal training programs, and emergency management; provide guidance and recommendations to the higher headquarters on aspects of Security Forces programs for military personnel management, budget and management; and analysis, training, and training resources for personnel?
The specialized experience must also indicate your experience in commonly used methods, procedures, regulations and other guides that relate to training programs within the applicable Security Forces career field; skill to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of program related issues and problems; develop, analyze, and evaluate security training programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security-training program for the installation; skill and competence to instruct training courses in a classroom seminar setting; and knowledge of applicable law enforcement and military security, along with Federal and DoD rules, regulations, instructions, practices, principles and procedures including force protection, integrated base defense, anti-terrorism and physical security.
