Full Job Description

You will serve as a Security Specialist at the GG-09 grade level, performing basic tasks regarding security functions and tasks involving the implementation or execution of security programs with the objective of detecting and preventing security problems which might endanger the activity or service, its sensitive operations, or its classified information.

This position is located in Millington, TN. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting investigations of personnel and physical security incidents to include initial reporting and documenting findings in accordance with policy.

Identifying protection measures and operational efficiency and effectiveness for personnel, information and physical security programs in accordance with command regulations and directives.

Preparing security reports, correspondence, studies, and messages in final form for inclusions into files and or to customers.

Executing policies and procedures required to manage Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

  • You will carry out all assignments necessary to implement security throughout the activity to meet Department of Navy (DoN) and national security program requirements.
  • You will learn to identify gaps regarding personnel, information and physical security.
  • You will participate in all tasks related to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) process and education.
  • You will collaborate and learn to use technology in order to identify the design and working conditions of technology to protect the physical layout of facilities in geographic area.
