Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing secure communications equipment for the Navy, ensuring everything is handled safely, tracked properly, and compliant with rules.
You'll oversee warehouse operations, process shipments and destructions, and support team tasks while keeping classified materials secure.

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (COMSEC) in the VAULT OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of CMIO NORFOLK.
To qualify for a GS-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices, gained through extended study or experience, and skill in applying this knowledge to review independently, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex COMSEC problems.
Experience managing COMSEC equipment IAW DON and national policies and Navy Supply practices. Experience with warehouse management, organization, control and accountability.
Experience demonstrating an understanding of FIAR requirements, FIAR Key Supporting Documents, Supply database management (i.e.
CAV, CAV-RP, etc...) to include supply paperwork DD-1149's and DD-1348's. Experience in COMSEC Management including knowledge of COMSEC receiving and shipping and overall COMSEC safeguarding.
