Job Description

Summary

This job involves working as a security specialist for the U.S.

Navy in Washington state, where you'll review and improve security rules for physical sites and computer systems to spot problems early and suggest fixes.

You'll help leaders make smart choices on security by analyzing data, spotting trends, and joining audits or inspections from other teams.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT, CODE 300.1 of PSNS and IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating policies, instructions, or procedures for physical or Information Technology (IT) security matters to prevent issues, resolve problems and define policies.

  • You will provide managers with objectively based information for making decisions on the various Security aspects of agency operations and management.
  • You will analyze extract, summarizes, and identifies significant trends and issues.
  • You will participate in audits/surveys/inspections conducted by personnel from other departments and commands.
  • You will Provides a synopsis of audit/survey/inspection U.S. Office of Personnel Management issues, findings and corrective actions to the supervisor and Department Security Coordinator.
