Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737

This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Operating Officer in Washington DC.
The purpose of this position is to manage HSPD-12 PIV office operations, oversee and maintain access control operations and prevent unauthorized access to equipment, facilities, material, and documents, and promote security safeguards.
Works with current physical security access systems, arranges and participates in facility security training/drills for building employees.
GS-11: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: administering HSPD-12 PIV credentialing; performing identity proofing with biometric/biographic data; using credentialing/access control systems (USAccess) and supporting physical security programs.

Provides physical security support for SBA.
Assist in evaluating risk and developing procedures and physical security measures designed to safeguard personnel, property, and operations from unauthorized access, espionage, terrorism, sabotage, damage and theft.
Manages the security program and the Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 requirements for sponsoring, enrolling, printing, and issuing the Personnel Identity Verification (PIV) Card utilizing the GSA/USAccess Program.
Manages in-processing and out-processing of federal and contract personnel including identity proofing, fingerprinting, printing/destroying HSDP-12 credentials (PIV cards) and troubleshooting common issues adhering to the Federal Information Processing Standard Publications (FIPS).
Monitor and manage PIV office email inbox regularly to stay updated on incoming inquiries, questions, issues, and concerns and, respond promptly to ensure timely and effective communication with SBA staff and stakeholders.
Produced reports on a regular basis (weekly/monthly) to keep top level management apprised of the status of the Security Program and for performance management/performance improvement initiatives.
Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the security and integrity of the PIV process. Requires customer interaction, security procedures, and administrative duties.
Ensures all PIV operations comply with federal security standard.
Defines and establishes safety and security tasks, provides advice on needed resources, and monitors or leads projects to ensure work is Accomplished in a timely and effective manner.
Identifies both internal and external best practices and establishes methodologies for sharing these throughout SBA.
Analyzes the impact of fiscal resources, staffing needs, equipment resource constraints and recommends appropriate action to resolve each issue.
