This job involves supporting the operations of small arms firing ranges at a Navy installation, including scheduling maintenance, ensuring safe cleanup of waste and debris, and preparing reports on environmental and hygiene standards.
It's a good fit for someone with hands-on experience in range maintenance or safety protocols who is detail-oriented and comfortable interacting with the public and following regulations.
You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (RANGE OPERATIONS) in the Commander, Navy Installations; Department of the Navy of WEPSTA SEAL BCH SECURITY DET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing a variety of small arms range operations support; 2) Ensuring that hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, small arms brass gleaning, small arms range maintenance, lead awareness or brass and debris disposal are in accordance with established policies and procedures; 3) Maintaining scheduled range cleaning, industrial hygiene and environmental reports.
