The Section Chief, Operations at ICE Health Service Corps oversees personnel data analysis, timekeeping, and travel management.
Responsibilities include workforce planning, compliance, and project management.
The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, and knowledge of federal personnel regulations. This position is only open to current USPHS officers.
USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to perform duties in a fast-paced environment without physical limitations.
Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time [6-8 Hours]. Performing repeated bending motion. Average manual dexterity for computer operation.
Phone use for extended periods of time Major Duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct data analysis and reporting to support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession initiatives within the unit.
Compile, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making and program improvements. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of personnel programs and policies.
Support program managers in monitoring compliance with regulations and best practices.
Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, presentations, and briefings for leadership and stakeholders, summarizing program performance, workforce trends, and analytical findings.
Coordinate and facilitate meetings, working groups, and collaborative efforts with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, share information, and support program objectives.
Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and assisting with the implementation of new systems and procedures within the Personnel Unit.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to personnel programs, workforce analysis, and administrative activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Assist with project management tasks including tracking milestones, timelines, deliverables, and outcomes for personnel-related projects and initiatives.
