MDHA employs over 300 staff members, has a budget of $185 million, and houses approximately 30,000 people, primarily through nearly 8,000 Section 8 Vouchers and over 6,800 apartments, which are mainly Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) units, at 39 properties.
MDHA is a housing authority, a community development agency, and a redevelopment agency.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Rental Assistance, to determine the eligibility of applicants and participants for all programs administered by the Rental Assistance Department; to provide support in various procedures relating to initial eligibility, initial lease-ups, re-examinations, transfers, terminations, and do related work as required.

Knowledge of affordable housing rules and regulations; knowledge of Housing and Urban Development rules and regulations; knowledge of landlord and tenant rights; knowledge of rental and home-ownership principles; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with applicants, participants, landlords, lenders, other housing providers, and other members of the public; ability to perform mathematical functions accurately.Organization Skills:
