Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a secretary who acts as a personal assistant to high-ranking naval officers, handling tasks like managing calls and visitors, preparing documents, and organizing meetings.

You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the COMMAND DIVISION of NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION CHINA LAKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing outgoing correspondence and reports for accuracy, grammar, punctuation and compliance with established manuals; 2) Receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors to determine the nature of the caller and make appropriate referral; 3) Responding to requests for information; 4) Coordinating travel arrangements and hotel reservations; 5) Using various office automation software to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print forms, memos and letters.
