Perform secretarial duties for the program manager of the Laboratory and Equipment Services Section, Technical Services Division.
This position requires answering and screening of telephone calls, typing letters and other correspondence, processing mail, photocopying, faxing documents and performing other secretarial duties as requested.
This position ensures timely, reliable and accurate processing for all payment requests using SIGMA. Maintains confidentiality of documents and information received.
Other duties include receiving, screening, and recording all samples submitted to the LESS Laboratory into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The secretary enters completed analytical results into LIMS and returns sample analysis forms to lab customers. Person also interprets State, Department, Agency, and Division policies and procedures and serves as liaison to Section staff and to the Division and Agency offices. The position drafts and prepares letters and reports for the LESS program manager and other LESS staff. The secretary ships and receives field sampling supplies. This person enters data for field equipment calibration and repairs into a database. The secretary performs weekly checks of safety showers and eyewash stations. This position also serves as backup to and assists with special projects for the Departmental Analyst.Please attach a cover letter and detailed resume to your application.
