Seasonal inspectors for weeds enforcement (Business and Neighborhood Services)

Agency Summary

The purpose and mission of Animal Care Services is advocating animal welfare, adoption, and rescue.

The agency does this by protecting and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of pets and livestock in Marion County.

Requirements When required, conducts high weeds and grass inspections.Creates high weeds and grass investigation cases for initial inspection process.Enters inspections and abatement results related to high weeds and grass investigation and violation cases.Reviews high weeds and grass abatement photographs for accuracy.

Prints and mails notice of violations and invoices.Directs public information request to the appropriate staff.Researches property ownership, registered agents, and tenant information for cases.Provides vendors with a list of properties requiring nuisance abatement.When required, communicates with vendors to obtain additional information.

Answers phones and directs the caller to the appropriate staff.Return calls to citizens and directs the callers concerns to the appropriate staff.Organizes shared case information.

Qualifications High School diploma, equivalent or College with valid driver's license.

Effective communications both oral and written, some knowledge of city streets and locations, ability to keep accurate records and basic computer skills are required.
