Full Job Description

This position is located in a National Park Service Unit. The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a Tractor Operator for the Unit.

In order to be qualified for this position you must possess the ability to do the work of the position with no more than normal supervision.

Ability to operate tractors with a 3-point hitch with attachments. Ability to operate zero turn mowers with 60" deck up to a 72 " deck. You must document your experience in your resume.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

Major Duties: On a recurring basis operates farm type tractors and towed and attached equipment to maintain roads and ground medians and /or perform farming functions.

The incumbent frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical controls.

The incumbent frequently operates a zero-turn mower with a 60" deck or a 72" deck to keep grounds mowed around buildings and some fields.

Equipment operated may include mowers, aerators, plows, chippers ,sprayers, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades, and backhoes.
