Full Job Description

The typical seasonal period for these positions is Apr/May through Oct/Nov but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

Anticipated Entry on Duty: April/May 2026.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision.

(SCREEN OUT) Technical Practices. Use of Measuring Instruments. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (other than blueprints). Ability to Use and Maintain Tools.

Knowledge of Materials. Dexterity and Safety. If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.

Operates power equipment and uses hand tools to maintain plant material. Performs routine horticulture techniques to care for plant material.

Selects and applies appropriate treatments to control plant diseases, plant insects, and weeds. References appropriate documents to obtain appropriate landscape maintenance guidance.
